Everything Your New Pet Needs, Mapped Out From Day One

At Dixie Animal Hospital, we’ve built the New Beginnings Puppy & Kitten Plan to take the guesswork out of your pet’s first year — a step-by-step care path designed by our veterinary team, covering exactly what a growing puppy or kitten needs and exactly when they need it.

The plan bundles four guided visits, your pet’s spay or neuter procedure, and a first-visit welcome folder with everything you need as a new pet parent — vaccine records, feeding guidance, and a printed copy of your pet’s own schedule. Timing can shift slightly depending on your individual pet’s breed and health.

Because we’re a full-service hospital with our own in-house lab and imaging, every visit on this plan happens under one roof, with one team that gets to know your pet from the very start — through to the day of their spay or neuter and beyond.

Why Mississauga Families Choose the New Beginnings Plan

Joining the Plan

There’s nothing complicated about getting started. Once you enroll, we’ll help you pre-book all four visits and the spay/neuter appointment so the whole year is already on your calendar.

Each visit is billed individually as you go, just like a normal appointment — enrolling simply keeps everything organized and reminders coming at the right time.

Common Questions

No — there’s no cost to join at all. You’re billed per visit, exactly as you would be for any regular appointment.

Just call us and we’ll get you rebooked. We do ask that all vaccine visits be completed before scheduling the spay/neuter procedure.

Yes — the plan follows your veterinarian’s individual recommendation for your pet, not a fixed cutoff date.

None. There’s no sign-up fee and nothing to pay upfront.

In most cases, yes. Bring any existing vaccine records to your next visit and our team will build the remaining schedule around what’s already been done.

Absolutely — the plan is open to new and existing clients alike.

Newborn immunity fades gradually, so vaccines are spaced out to build full protection in stages — one dose alone won’t cover the gap.

Not precisely — the ages listed are a target. Some flexibility is normal, and your veterinarian will flag it if timing matters for a specific vaccine.
